Flat Twist. Similar to a cornrow, except two pieces of hair are criss crossed to create a rope pattern that lays along the scalp.

Individual Twist. Similar to a plait or braid except two pieces of hair are criss-crossed to create a rope strand.

Handroll. A handmade curl created by winding the hair from the scalp to the hair ends.

Locks. Clusters of uncombed hair that grow, intermingle and mat together.

Braid. A section of hair created by systematically intertwining three sections of hair together to hang from the scalp.

Cornrow. A braid that lays flat against the scalp.

Hair Weave. A braid-and-sew method used to attach hair extensions to the natural hair to add length, volume, color, or texture.
